PogoBijoux
A downloadable game for Windows
What PogoBijoux is
PogoBijoux is an experimental game/demo about liminal spaces, dream exploration, anemoia, kenopsia, and loneliness. I started working on it in mid-2020 and finished* it on March 3, 2023.
*the game still has some bugs and those will be fixed by July of 2024.
What PogoBijoux is NOT
- PogoBijoux is not a horror game
- PogoBijoux does not have a story
- PogoBijoux is more of a "walking simulator" that an actual game
- PogoBijoux does not have cutting edge graphics
Announcement:
PogoBijoux is getting a sequel! It is scheduled to release in 2025.
The source code along with a CMakeFile for GNU/Linux can be found here!
Disclaimer
Do not expect this game to be good, as it uses a rather outdated 3-D engine and the graphics look worse than in your average 2000s game. This game is more of a test to see if people will like the concept, and if enough people like it, I will make a sequel with better graphics, music, and sound effects. I know some people like those kind of graphics because it makes them feel nostalgic for their childhood (!?), so if you're one of those people you might actually like it.
Minimum requirements
Operating system: Windows XP or newer / can be built for GNU/Linux. It might also work on Windows 98 with KernelEx, but I don't know for sure.
Video card: 256MB VRAM; OpenGL 2.1+
RAM: 512MB
CPU: Pentium 4 or higher

After PogoBijoux 2 releases, except it won't be called that.

I don't use Discord.
I, too, want to piss in that ball pit so bad. Good thing the poolrooms are through that door-
I wish I could like comments
But you can...
Woah, this is really fun. I especially liked the level with the swimming pool and the one with the suburban houses getting farther and farther from the road (?) A really cool experience, made me feel things I probably wasn't supposed to feel. Nice.
Edit: I realized I accidentally downloaded the old version and got the new one instead! However with the newest update there seems to be something funky going on with the controls and the screen keeps glitching whenever I try to WASD my way over to something. As a result I got stuck in the second level forever :(
same :(
This issue will be fixed in the next update.Edited on August 30, 2023: The issue has now been fixed.
alr
Fixed in version 1.0.3.
Thank you for the positive review.
I was previously unaware of the controls not working correctly in the latest version and I apologize for not testing the update before publishing it.
The issue will be fixed in the next release.
The movement issue was fixed in version 1.0.3. Please keep in mind that the game is going to receive a few more updates this year to improve upon some of the most barebone levels.
Hey dude, this actually looks very promising with the 2000's graphics style!.It adds a lot actually!.If you need an actor or an artist, just give me a shot
i actually quite dig the low graphics!!
Thanks, but they're the result of my bad texturing skills and the rendering engine I'm using...
get gud then
